Lighting fires of revival
I’m Paul Yadao and I’m the lead pastor of Destiny Ministries International based in the Philippines. My passion is to impart desire for intimacy with God, worship and kingdom living.
The life of David never fails to fascinate and amaze me. And I yearn for a heart like his. I was one of the first fruits of a radical movement of a group of students who, like David, became fierce for God. The Students for Christ, one of the student movements in my university, ushered in revival in the early 1990’s in the campus.
I graduated Doctor of Veterinary Medicine but in the deepest of my heart, I wanted to share the Good News among the lost, the least in the darkest of the world. I trained for missions with my wife, Ahlmira, at Asian Center for Missions in 1997 and we were sent to Malaysia the following year.
I enrolled in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia for MS in Entomolgy while reaching out to fellow Malay students. We stayed there for two years and came back to the Philippines for a transition period.
We served as pastors of Destiny Ministries International and eventually became its lead pastors in 2003. Destiny was able to connect with Hosanna! Lutheran Church (HLC) in Minnesota and partner with them in sending missionaries to Malaysia. I also partnered with them, bringing Destiny teams, to minister in their mission outreaches in India.
Our turning point was when we met Leif Hetland during one of Randy Clark’s School of Healing at HLC in 2006. We asked him to father us and he said yes. He released a father’s blessing over us and from then on we were never the same again. The favor and grace of God became evident as doors for ministry opened before us that we could barely keep up.
One year after the impartation, I saw thousands and thousands of hungry souls being set free, being filled and healed by the Father in my trip to Pakistan with Leif. I have since accompanied Leif and Jack Taylor, the spiritual father of Leif, in Africa and in various states in the US to speak at conferences.
Since receiving that powerful impartation of the Father’s love in 2006, the Destiny family has exploded into many nations with mighty signs and wonders. To date, Destiny has 11 churches in various parts of the country, and one each in Malaysia, Dubai, Singapore, Cambodia and New Jersey.

I bless the Lord and give Him praise for my dear wife Ahl. There could never be a ‘better’ better half for me. Ahl embodies the Proverbs 31 woman. She can whip up almost any dish. She does not make any sashes but her chocolate cakes are the best in town. She is generous of her time, her friendship, her wisdom and her treasures. She complements my personality and she completes my being. We’ve been married for seventeen years now.
God has so graciously blessed us with two awesome kids, Dave and Sophie. Dave is in the 9th grade now and is taller than his mom. He relishes solving math problems, the Rubic’s cube and playing the X-box. Sophie is in the 5th grade and excels in her subjects. She loves to dance and has been studying ballet since pre-school. She dreams of becoming an actress someday.
